02/10/2006: "Vilken framtid ska vi ha?"
Det offentliga gillar inte den information som Elixir presenterar, men eftersom vi har yttrandefrihet så finns sajten kvar. Många tycker som jag att informationen gagnar människor, andra tycker illa om att den, vissa kanske också tycker att den uppviglar. Men ingen har andats om att informationen skulle förbjudas och sajten stängas ner.
Jag har tidigare inte brytt mig så mycket om de berömda Muhammedbilderna, tyckt att karikatyrerna varit onödiga och att vissa extremisters reaktioner varit än mer än onödiga. Nu viker sig vår utrikesminister platt för hot om våld, UD:s tjänsteman utövar politiska påtryckningar och Säpo ser till att Sverigedemokraternas sida stängs ner.
Jag har inget till övers för galningarna i Sverigedemokraterna, men att stänga deras sajt för att en grupp extremister som förordar ett medeltida samhälle med förtryck av kvinnor och oliktänkande hotar med våld. Det är fruktansvärt svagt.
Många bilder är riktigt dåliga och har ett svagt rasistiskt tema - kroknäsor, "svartmuskighet". MEN - de riktar sig huvudsakligen inte mot en folkgrupp eller levande människor. De riktar sig mot en religiös symbol. Att få kritisera religiösa symboler är den grundläggande frihet som tog oss hur det medeltida förtrycket och lät oss nå frihetliga demokratiska system. Detta är inte alls hets mot folkgrupp. En av teckningarna är till och med rätt kul, nämligen nedanstående. Den driver ju med essensen av det extremt patriarkala, livsföraktande system som missbrukar Muhammed för att uppmuntra fasansfulla mord på människor. De så kallade självmordsbombarna lovas ju 72 oskulder när de kommer till himmelen.
Så där ja. Nu har jag också publicerat. Vi lever i en unik tid när människan precis har börjat slå sig fri. Men mörka krafter vill ta bort möjligheten för människor att själva växa, att själva bestämma över sina liv. Jag vet att staten inte tycker att Elixirs verksamhet är speciellt bra. Nu går jag ett steg längre och välkomnar samtal från både Laila Freivalds, Säpo och UD. Ska vi ha en framtid där människovärdet står i centrum eller en där religiösa eller andra dogmer betyder mer än människor?
